Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using GameChat, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy:
- These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and GameChat
- If you do not agree, do not use the app or website
- Your continued use of GameChat indicates acceptance of these terms
- If you use GameChat on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization
Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use GameChat
- If you are under 18, you should use GameChat only with permission from a parent or guardian
- You must comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws
- GameChat is currently offered as a mobile app and website for casual multiplayer entertainment
User Responsibilities
When using GameChat, you agree to:
- Use the service respectfully and in good faith with other players
- Not harass, threaten, abuse, or impersonate other users
- Not cheat, exploit bugs, use bots, or interfere with fair gameplay
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt our apps, servers, or networks
- Not use GameChat for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
- Not upload or share content that is offensive, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate
- Keep any future account credentials secure and notify us of unauthorized access
We may suspend or restrict access if you violate these responsibilities.
Service License
GameChat grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Download and use the GameChat app for personal, non-commercial entertainment
- Create and join real-time multiplayer game sessions with friends
- Use in-game chat and invite features made available within the app
- Access the GameChat website, including game invite and support pages
This license does not give you ownership of GameChat, our branding, game assets, code, or underlying technology.
Multiplayer Sessions & Invite Links
- Game sessions are hosted in real time and may depend on your internet connection and device performance
- Invite links may contain temporary game state so other players can join a lobby cross-platform
- You are responsible for who you invite and what information you choose to share through links or chat
- We may remove expired invites or end inactive sessions to keep our service reliable
Beta Service
GameChat is currently in public beta. Features, games, availability, and performance may change without notice.
You understand that beta software may contain bugs, downtime, or incomplete functionality.
Limitations of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- GameChat is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or lag-free gameplay
- We are not responsible for lost game progress, missed invites, or issues caused by third-party networks, devices, or app stores
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of GameChat is limited to the greater of USD $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, if any
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Payments & Subscriptions
GameChat is currently free to download and use. If we introduce paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in the future,
separate billing terms will apply and will be presented to you before purchase. Unless required by law, fees already paid may be non-refundable.
Termination
You may stop using GameChat at any time by uninstalling the app and discontinuing use of our website.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, create risk for other users, or if required for legal or operational reasons.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
Material changes may also be communicated in the app or on our website. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
